921 SW Sixth Avenue, Portland, Oregon, 97204
Speaker, Michelle May, MD, a physician, author, speaker and recovered yo-yo dieter, is passionate about helping others break free from the eat-repentrepeatcycle to live the full vibrant life they deserve. She
is a very entertaining and knowledgeable speaker so wake up early to hear her every word! To help spread Health At Every Size® wisdom to college students, the Weight Realities Division, along with the Higher Education Division, will disseminate its new lessons explaining HAES at their session “Teaching Health At Every Size.” Then there is a unique opportunity to hear the experts debate the role of sugar and high fructose corn syrup in the diets of Americans. The Corn Refiners Association is the sponsor, but they generously agreed to fund the “con” speaker, as well as their chosen speakers. We applaud them for letting us hear both sides of this issue.
Have you wondered why gluten-free products have proliferated – is it a fad or is celiac disease on the rise? Attend the session on “Wheat Gluten and Health” to find out. There are multiple opportunities to catch up with all the social media tools available as well as instructions on developing and improving websites and apps!
