Job description
Maternity Care Coalition (MCC), a dynamic nonprofit, works to improve maternal and child health and well-being through the collaborative efforts of individuals, families, providers and communities.
The Public Policy Department seeks an energetic professional responsible to analyze and translate maternal child health policies and early care and learning policies for the broader community, educate staff and engage the public sector about the impact of policies and actions on families with young children. In addition, the individual will coordinate the use of technology to advance MCC’s policy agenda including the creation of successful electronic alerts, web pages, and social network campaigns. Responsibilities also include conducting research, organizing public forums, and writing proposals, reports and testimony.
Qualified candidates should have 3 to 5 years’ experience in policy, coalition building, project management; social media; government relations; supervision; excellent communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to improving maternal and child health.BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Public Health or a related field of study; Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Health or a related field of study is preferred.
