Posted by on June 10, 2013
Philadelphia Parks and Recreation’s KEYSPOTS Computer Labs are seeking volunteers to teach basic video production skills to kids and teens this summer. This is a fantastic opportunity for people with passion in digital media to share their skills and gain valuable teaching experience with young people.
Volunteers will be expected to help facilitate either a one-time, three-part, or ongoing workshop about basic video production skills with staff depending on your availability. Content should include basic filming and editing skills, with a preference for emphasis on music entrepreneurship.
Locations include Tustin Recreation Center in West Philadelphia and Waterview Recreation Center in Germantown.
Requirements
- Strong computer skills
- Experience working with urban youth
- Experience recording with camera phones, point-and-shoot digital cameras, or digital SLR cameras
- Knowledge of Windows MovieMaker or comparable video-editing software
