The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) is seeking your input! We will open a public comment period for the documents listed above on June 7, 2013; the comment period will close at 5 p.m. on July 8, 2013.

Since its inception, DVRPC has worked to address current issues while also looking toward the future to craft a vision for the region. Federal regulations mandate that DVRPC prepare and maintain a Long-Range Plan with a minimum 20-year planning horizon. The Long-Range Plan also includes a set of transportation investments that help the region achieve the goals of the Plan. The Connections 2040 Plan for Greater Philadelphia focuses on strengthening the linkages between land use, the environment, economic development and the transportation system in the DVRPC nine-county region. The Connections 2040 Transportation Investments Appendix provides more detailed information on the transportation investments contained in the Connections 2040 Plan for Greater for Philadelphia.

In conjunction with the Draft Connections 2040 Plan and the Draft DVRPC Fiscal Year (FY) 2014 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for New Jersey (FY2014-2017) , DVRPC has issued a Draft Transportation Conformity Finding that covers the Draft Connections 2040 Plan for Greater Philadelphia, the Draft DVRPC FY 2014-2017 TIP for New Jersey and theFY 2013-2016 TIP for Pennsylvania. Transportation Conformity is the process that ensures that plans and programs receiving federal funding are consistent with the region’s air quality goals.

The documents are available for review on the DVRPC website at http://www.dvrpc.org, at DVRPC’s Resource Center, and at various libraries throughout the Delaware Valley. The documents will also be on hand for review at the information sessions, and can be translated into alternative languages or formats, if requested.
