Job description
The Philadelphia Education Fund seeks a full-time Program Associate to provide administrative and programmatic support for the Educational Innovations Team. An educational non-profit organization with a 28-year history, the mission of the Philadelphia Education Fund is to improve the quality of public education in Philadelphia and the region, so that youth are prepared for college and careers. Educational Innovations at the Philadelphia Education Fund builds the field through incubating and demonstrating new and promising programs and strategies, and disseminating lessons learned, tools and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support, including scheduling, to the Vice President of Educational Innovations and Educational Innovations staff members as needed;

• Serve as webmaster for the ArtsRising website; develop and manage content, including social media; work with Director of Communications and ArtsRising Coordinators to ensure content is consistent with ArtsRising’s Strategic Framework and Strategic Communications plan; align ArtsRising website with Ed Fund website;

• Manage the online ArtsEd Resources Center on myartsrising.org;

• Work with the staff of ArtsRising to develop effective tools to communicate with key stakeholders from the arts and cultural community, the K-12 education system, youth-service organizations, postsecondary institutions, and business, funding and civic partners;

• Prepare, submit, and maintain records on independent contractor agreements and check requests;

• Compile, maintain, manipulate and manage program databases, and maintain program files and archives;

• Coordinate meetings and information dissemination, and communicate with partners, Steering Committee, funders, school district, arts and cultural partners, and external contractors; Manage logistics and assemble materials for programmatic events and meetings;

• Assist in assembling and collecting information, program metrics, statistics, and evaluation data for reports and projects;

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree;

• Related work experience;

• Strong organizational skills;

• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and in a team;

• Ability to work with a variety of online and other technological solutions to support programs (i.e. website, social networking, blogs, Basecamp, etc…);

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and produce high quality results quickly and on time

• Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;

• Critical thinking, problem solving, accuracy and attention to detail;

• Ability to manage multiple and complex relationships with diverse stakeholders;

• High energy, and ability to think creatively and interact effectively with others;

• Some evening and weekend hours required.

• Commitment to and understanding of public education preferred;

• Familiarity with the arts community in Philadelphia a plus.
