In the Spotlight!
14th Annual Prevention & Outreach Summit
Keynote Speaker:
The Reverend Al Sharpton
The Prevention & Outreach Summit has always been free and open to the public, and the place to find out what are latest trends, programs, and policies around HIV/AIDS in Philadelphia nationwide.
Philadelphia FIGHT is excited to announce that at our 14th Annual Prevention Summit on Wednesday, June 12, The Reverend Al Sharpton will be Keynote Speaker.
Rev. Al Sharpton is the founder and President of the National Action Network (NAN), a not-for-profit civil rights organization headquartered in Harlem, New York, with over sixty Chapters nationwide.
As one of the nation’s most-renowned civil rights leaders, a March 2013 Zogby poll said one out of every four African-Americans say that Rev. Sharpton is the person that speaks most for them. He has been praised by President Barack Obama as “the voice of the voiceless and a champion for the downtrodden,” and by former President George W. Bush who said that “Al cares just as much as I care about making sure every child learns to read, write, add and subtract.” Read more.
Have you registered for the Prevention Summit yet? Rev. Sharpton will be speaking during the Opening Plenary, so be sure to arrive on Wednesday, June 12 at 8AM, head right to registration and then to find a seat in the Opening Plenary room for breakfast where Rev. Sharpton, among other engaging speakers, will address the audience with informative and inspiring messages.
