Position Description:

Esperanza has an immediate opening for a full-time Job Developer in our EARN Center. The Job Developer is responsible for the development and cultivation of unsubsidized and subsidized jobs and the job placements for all program participants. Essential duties and skills include:

• Screens and meets with individual employers, develops specific work orders for each employer, and ensure that there are adequate jobs for all job candidates, including jobs for special needs job candidates – bilingual or participants with limited reading/writing skills
• Ensures that there is a constant pool of jobs available to job candidates and the timely and effective manner of filling the subsidized and unsubsidized jobs
• Delivers the required minimum of placements as assigned each month (subject to contractual obligations)
• Communicates with other staff to determine the specific jobs that meet the needs of the job candidates
• Completes all processes for posting and required forms as appropriate
• Maintains records of placement data, employer’s profiles and database as required
• Presents on placement status and/or progress, new strategies and compliance with performance goals in a quarterly-basis
• Organizes job fairs and employer visits for the program
• Attends and participates in all staff and team weekly meetings
• Associate’s Degree required in business, human services and/or related field
• Two years of job training program experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication
