Out-of-School Time Programs:
Enter the George Washington Carver Science Fair
The George Washington Carver Science Fair is one of the oldest and largest urban science fairs in the United States. Each year, 4th-12th grade Philadelphia public, Parochial, charter, private, and home-school students, compete for certificates, medals, and special awards. The Carver Fair emphasizes science content as well as teamwork, problem-solving, resiliency, patience, and perseverance.
This year, Philadelphia OST and afterschool programs can enter through a special OST application process. Please visit the Carver website and click on “Out-of-School Time Programs:” http://www.temple.edu/carversciencefair/
Remember: Carver Fair applications must be submitted to the School District of Philadelphia no later than January 11, 2013. If you are not ready to enter the Fair but would like to learn more about it, consider registering as a judge: go to the Carver website and click on “Judges.”
