The Teen Program Manager will oversee the continued development, implementation, and evaluation of programs geared towards raising the academic, technology, college-readiness and employment skills of neighborhood youth (grades 9 – 12). We provide After-School and summer programs which include Digital Arts, Journalism, Cross Bridge Scholars, Entrepreneur, College Access and Employment Preparation/internships. The Teen Program Manager will also be responsible for the implementation and knowledge of technology based classroom learning. The manager should have a vision of excellence for urban youth through educational programs. The Manager will be responsible for program management and supervision of Teen program full-time and part-time staff.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS in Education, M.A. preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 5-7 years related experience – this must include classroom instruction and instructional leadership
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience, teaching (preferably high school)
A specialization in working with urban youth
Knowledge of the utilization of technology based classroom learning
A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
Program development, implementation and evaluation
Budget management
Excellent organization, verbal, written & interpersonal skills
Experience in overseeing and/or contributing to college access & readiness programs, and employment preparation & internship instruction preferred
Experience in curriculum development preferred
An understanding of project based learning preferred
Strong computer skills
Knowledge and understanding of mental health issues, homelessness, unemployment, underemployment, poverty, and social justice
Must be able to pass Child Abuse History Clearance
