Website opens for King Day 2013 volunteers
Global Citizen has opened the registration website for the 18th Annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service on Monday, January 21, 2013.
Last January, more than 100,000 volunteers throughout the region served in some 1,500 King Day of Service projects, once again making it the largest King Day event in the nation.
Volunteers can use this website to register their organization’s King Day of Service project(s) or volunteer as an individual or group so that Global Citizen can match them with a project.
Organizers of projects are being asked to consider expanding their volunteer capacity this year so that additional volunteers can be matched with them. This can help get more accomplished, while bringing together diverse groups and promoting better understanding.
Resources on the site are designed to support organizing efforts for King Day and beyond.
