Philabundance, the largest food bank and food rescue organization in the Delaware Valley is seeking a Program Coordinator, Community Food Center.

Position Summary:
The Community Food Center (CFC) Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the implementation and management of the CFC program, specifically the areas of customer relations, volunteer relations and community outreach. Job duties include overseeing and managing customer intake and tracking, coordinating and scheduling volunteers provide their orientation and implement customer outreach and advocacy in addition to attending community meetings on behalf of the program. This is an active position that requires weekend hours and evenings on occasion.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Oversee lobby operation, training intake volunteers on proper procedures and data collection
• Continue to develop the CFC customer base to advocate on their behalf as well as communicate through surveys, questionnaires as well as in person meetings as needed
• Collect, track and report results from customer surveys and visit activity on a regular basis
• Ensure timely entry and analysis of customer data into excel spreadsheets as well as customer database and ACR reports in order to maintain targets
• Manage all aspects of volunteer communication, scheduling, follow up and onsite recognition
• Coordinate with the volunteer department to provide: adequate coverage as needed and overall recruitment updates
• Coordinate with other DS programs to create and implement volunteer appreciation events
• Serve as primary contact to volunteers; greet and ensure sign-in and application processes are completed and provide appropriate orientation
• Address issues with customers and volunteers as they arise and direct to supervisor if needed
• Track volunteer hours and provide follow up material as needed
• Ensure that volunteer questions and concerns are promptly and knowledgeably addressed
• Attend offsite community meetings to become knowledgeable about other available resources
• Attend PHLB events to promote CFC outside of immediate neighborhood
• Update the CFC phone line when necessary
• Ensure shopping environment is friendly and welcoming
• Adhere to organizational policies and procedures
• Assist with and participate in program and department cross training to provide back-up help as needed
• Other duties as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
• Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
• Computer Skills Required: Word, Excel, and Outlook. Access a plus
• Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred
• A valid driver’s license and own means of transportation required
