Call for Submissions, Apiary Magazine
Posted by on September 10, 2012
Spread the word to your friends and fellow writers! We are now accepting submissions for APIARY, a biannual magazine showcasing the best poetry and prose in Philadelphia!
“A respected force on the local lit scene, APIARY magazine provides a much-needed platform for writers of all styles and backgrounds.”
– City Paper, June 2012
“APIARY seeks to grow the garden, cross-pollinate, replace the words literary magazine with the word community — the word us.”
– Philadelphia Inquirer, April 2012
“Apiary is a giant literary disco ball spinning above Philly, reflecting the light of Philadelphia’s distinct voices. The newly transplanted, the 5th generation Philadelphian, those loud spoken word poets and your neighbor who has three drawers full of unshared poetry are all here. When you’re done you’ll be amazed that so many different and wonderful people are in one place.”
– Jacob Winterstein, Host, Pigeon Presents Poetry Slam
APIARY accepts:
– Poetry
– Spoken Word
– Fiction
– Non-fiction
– Submissions from youth writers (ages 13 and up)
– Bilingual submissions (accompanied by English translation)
The deadline is October 1, 2012. Visit http://www.apiarymagazine.com/submissions to learn more and submit pieces to our submissions manager.
We’re looking forward to reading your work!
