Developing Healthy and Local Food Procurement Policies

Food purchases by governments, hospitals, schools and others can increase nutritious choices available to the people they serve and drive healthy changes in the food system. Through presentations by ChangeLab Solutions, participants will learn why food procurement practices and policies are important and how to get started (or scale up) in your own organization or program. There will also be an opportunity to hear and share regional best practices in healthy and local food purchasing.
