Nutrition Link Conference: Reaching and Teaching Today’s Diverse Families

NEW-Penn State Extension Nutrition Link’s annual conference, “Reaching and Teaching Today’s Diverse Families,” will be held at State College, PA on September 18th from 8:00 AM-4:45 PM. Look here for more information and registration.
The Penn State Extension Nutrition Links Annual Conference is planned to assist educators and health professionals in building their skills to better work with families and individuals in the changing social, economic, and technological climate.
Sessions will address . . .
Relating to Diverse Audiences
School Nutrition and Obesity Prevention
Working with Different Generations and Cultures
In addition, tours of Penn State facilities related to the topic areas will be offered, including food service, child care and agricultural sites.
Application has been made for 5 hours of continuing professional education credits through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), Act 48 for educators, and Penn State CEUs.
We invite people working in nutrition, education, and human service areas to join us for a stimulating day of presentations that will provide food for thought and new ideas that can be implemented in programming.
