Learning groups for nonprofit executive directors

What executive director hasn’t had to face board issues, budget shortfalls, staffing problems, a sense of isolation, and the burden of responsibility?

Now there’s a place for nonprofit executive directors to unburden themselves from the stressors and challenges that are common to all.

That place is called a CLEAR Circle and it is a learning and problem-solving group exclusively for nonprofit executive directors, run by The Nonprofit Center at La Salle University’s School of Business.

This proven model, written about by nonprofit experts such as Guidestar and the Chronicle of Philanthropy, are a unique and effective way for directors to come together monthly with a small group of other nonprofit leaders who share their joys and pain.

CLEAR Circles are comprised of 7 or 8 nonprofit executive directors who agree to meet once a month for two hours over nine months.

The group is facilitated by a Nonprofit Center expert who helps guide the group through its agenda of issues, concerns and problems that members share in order to get input, feedback, problem- solving and support in a confidential environment.  Group members determine the meeting schedule and location, with Circles now being organized in Center City, Montgomery County, and West Chester.  The cost for the nine sessions is $395 for Nonprofit Center members and $470 for non-members.
