The Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition (PICC) a diverse statewide immigrant rights coalition seeks a highly motivated, skilled and committed individual who can lead PICC to realize its full potential. This is a unique opportunity to take a small, but important and effective immigrant rights organization to the next level of influence and impact. PICC is a diverse statewide coalition of 50 member organizations and numerous individuals that represents the needs of immigrants, migrants, refugees and other new Americans living in Pennsylvania to policy makers, public officials, and the general public. We seek to educate the public and develop support for fair policies that welcome and sustain immigrants. PICC’s programs include: advocacy on issues of health care, immigration reform, language access and law enforcement relations; training to build capacity among service providers and community leaders; civic engagement and citizenship promotion.
While the priority is to find a full time hire, a highly qualified person seeking part time opportunities will be considered.
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Position Status: Full time
Reports to: PICC’s Board of Directors
Position Description: The Executive Director is the Chief Executive and Financial Officer of PICC and shall be responsible for the oversight of all management and administrative functions of PICC at the direction of the Board. The Executive Director will oversee the areas of advocacy, policy analysis, public relations, development, management and administration in the organization. Experience and Education: A minimum of five years of demonstrated leadership experience in a non-profit environment or related setting. A proven track record of coalition building is required. The applicant must possess knowledge and understanding of immigration issues and have experience working with multicultural and immigrant communities. Experience in building civic/voter engagement programs and advocacy campaigns is preferred. A post-graduate degree is preferred. Bi-lingual applicant with effective written and verbal communication skills in both languages is preferred.
