Webinar: Scholarship of Engagement for Early-Career Faculty

On March 20, 2012, NERCHE hosted a webinar for prospective nominees and nominators for the 2012 Lynton Award for the Scholarship of Engagement for Early-Career Faculty. This web-based meeting provided participants with practical information and advice about completing the Lynton Award application and offered nominees strategies for linking the application to their tenure portfolio or contract renewal process.

The webinar was led by three former Lynton Award recipients (see below) who discussed the reflective process of constructing their respective nomination responses.  The event concluded with a lively Q&A session during which presenters responded to a range of insightful questions posed by participants about application development.

In advance of the meeting, NERCHE made available to webinar participants a list of resources relevant to the Lynton Award nomination process, including examples illustrating community-engaged teaching, research/creative activity, and service across the disciplines.  View the Webinar Resources page.
