Excellence workshop planned for Philly nonprofits
The Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations is sponsoring a Standards for Excellence Workshop on April 18th designed specifically for Philadelphia area nonprofits with a budget size of $300,000 or less.
The introductory workshop will take place from 9am to noon at the Philadelphia Foundation, 1234 Market Street, 18th floor.
The Standards for Excellence provides a strong foundation as well as a clear framework with which to develop and sustain your organization, train staff and promote public confidence. The Standards for Excellence serves as a model for nonprofit operations and governance.
In this seminar, participants will learn the basics of the Standards for Excellence and how the Standards can strengthen their organization and board governance; review a self-assessment checklist to identify areas of effective operations and opportunities for growth and improvement; learn about educational resources available, sample tools and policies and the voluntary Tier One: Essentials process designed to make sure basic legal and regulatory practices are in place and engage their board.
The cost for the workshop is $15 per person. To register, go here.
