CAEL is seeking a Manager of Career and Education Advising Services.
Overview: The Manager of Advising Projects is responsible for all operational aspects of CAEL’s advising projects. This role oversees daily advisor activity and supports the systematic tracking and evaluation of program activities to ensure consistent delivery and achieve desired participation levels and revenue goals.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct oversight/management for the day to day activities and CAEL personnel working on advising related programs
Develop project policies and procedures (Advisor Guidelines) for service delivery to promote efficient program implementation consistent with client policies and expectations
Develop and implement site and participant assignment strategies for advisors to ensure full coverage of client sites
Coordinate the design development and dissemination of curriculum materials
Communicate regularly with all members of the advising internal team to assure coordination of services to clients
Support marketing initiatives for all advising projects, coordinating with CAEL marketing staff
Support management functions in the Philadelphia office
Facilitate webinars and conference calls
Provide training to advisors on new and existing projects
Participate in regular program budget reviews
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required. Education is considered to include both the formal/traditional as well as learning from life and work experience.
Five or more years of relevant work-related experience in a business environment required.
Skills and Knowledge:
Knowledge of adult education theory and career and education advising
Familiarity with career and education assessments and online career development resources
Ability to manage complex projects
Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form
Experience in developing and delivering training materials
Familiarity with technology and social media skills
Knowledge of marketing fundamentals
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Ability to travel as needed, locally and nationally
Proficiency is a language other than English should be noted
