March 16 – 18, 2012, New York City
The Left Forum 2012, “Occupy the System: Confronting Global Capitalism,” will be held at Pace University and will examine the message of Occupy Wall Street. NHI board president John Atlas will appear on the panel “Fighting Inequality and Poverty: Rethinking Grassroots Organizing and Community-Labor Coalitions, from the NAACP to Acorn to Justice for Janitors to OWS,” along with Maxim Thorne of Yale University, Bertha Lewis of the Black Institute, and Heather Booth of the Midwest Academy.
