Micro-Enterprise Resource Center (MERC) of Montgomery County will present a workshop on “Starting a Childcare Business in your Home.” Prospective owners of childcare businesses will learn how to:
Register with the State of Pennsylvania.
Orientation scheduling for qualification of the business.
Prepare a Day Care Business Plan.
Educating families on applying for subsidies to pay child care cost.
Resources and referrals
Requirements for early childhood learning environment
County and Federal requirements
Zoning requirements
Safety and security concerns
Required forms for filing
Facility furnishings including Safety-Precaution Cribs
Educational toys to stimulate learning development
Registration fee: $10.00
Seating is limited to the first 20 registrants.
