Job Coach (Fluent in ASL), Community Integrated Services

Direct Service position working with deaf and hard of hearing individuals seeking employment.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized support and instruction to persons with disabilities placed and supported in community integrated jobs, and to their employers.
Conduct detailed on-site evaluations of potential job position and work environment.
Design individualized training plans in accordance with job requirements and the needs of the trainee.
Maintain detailed record of on-site performance including case notes and daily data.
Obtain work schedules for all consumers assigned on staff schedules.
Requirements:
Strong verbal communication skills. Must be fluent in American Sign Language
Bachelor’s degree and/or three to five years working with people with developmental disabilities
Must be very reliable and flexible with a strong work ethic
Willing to travel throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding counties
Must possess a valid driver’s license, dependable vehicle and computer access
Must pass applicable screenings as required by funding sources and a criminal background check.
