Conference Sessions Online: National Summit on Your City’s Families

Missed the 2011 National Summit on Your City’s Families? Watch the Sessions on NLC-TV!
The 2011 National Summit on Your City’s Families takes place this week as one of four concurrent conference to be held during NLC’s Congress of Cities in Phoenix, Ariz. Hundreds of municipal officials and youth delegates are participating in the Summit, which will offer a range of high-quality trainings, workshops, site visits and discussions focused on how cities can help children and families succeed in today’s challenging economy.
If you were not able to attend this year’s Summit, a number of sessions will be broadcast on NLC-TV. Featured sessions will include a keynote address by author and actor Hill Harper, who will discuss the importance of investing in education, children and families, and a plenary session with Professor David Kirp, author of Kids First: Five Big Ideas for Transforming Children’s Lives and America’s Future.
