Women Against Abuse, Inc (WAA) is currently recruiting for a key member of the Executive Management Team: Director Program Operations.
WAA is the leading and largest provider of services to victims of domestic violence in both the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The mission of WAA is to provide is quality, compassionate and nonjudgmental services in a manner that fosters self-respect and independence in persons experiencing intimate partner violence and to lead the struggle to end domestic violence through advocacy and community education. With a little under 100 staff, WAA serves over 12,000 individuals each year through emergency residential services (100 bed shelter and 12 transitional housing apartments), legal services, hotline counseling, aftercare services, community education/ training, and advocacy.

Summary of Principle Duties:
Provide and ensure mission-focused vision and leadership to achieve and maintain excellence in all residential, education/training, and clinical programs including housing operations. This position will integrate the departmental initiatives with the organization’s strategic direction. The Director of Program Operations will also manage strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and will address the “gap areas” between the Residential and Clinical workgroup and all other workgroups. Serve as a member of the Executive Team. All responsibilities are implemented according to our mission and vision and according to Agency standards.
Hours: full time with core hours from 9am to 5pm Monday thru Friday (some flexibility required); on call responsibilities.
Salary: commensurate with experience as well as a generous full benefits package.
