West Philly hosts Carrotmob event
The Philadelphia Carrotmob is hosting an event on Friday, October 21st from 4-7pm at West Phillie Produce, a sustainable and healthy food outpost in an area without enough local fresh food choices.

West Phillie Produce, located at 16 S. 62nd St., wants to expand its reach through partnerships with other corner stores and expand its offerings. The proceeds from the event will enable the storeowner, Arnett Woodall, to put together a program to provide fruit salads and fresh produce to other local stores with help from The Food Trust and others. The event will also support an effort by The Merchants Fund to assist in the purchase of a commercial juicer to increase West Phillie Produce’s healthy offerings.
The Enterprise Center is coordinating this effort along with many partners.
