The general duties are to assist Health Coordinator in working with children & families’ efforts to improve their health conditions and quality of family life. The Health Specialist is expected to maintain and document all children health status and promote good health and safety among the community we served. Ensure program’s compliance with federally mandated Performance Standards in the areas of Child Health & Safety.
Qualifications:
Bilingual/Bicultural in English and Spanish preferred.
Minimum of high school diploma
Minimum of one-year experience working with children families in an accredited health, mental health, and educational or social service facility.
Basic computer knowledge is preferred
Familiarity with the Norris Square community and its service providers
Must be able to obtain criminal, child abuse and FBI clearance.
Health Assessment must be done.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to climb steps.
Ability to perform site visit
