Posted by on May 09, 2011
Photovoice: The Story of Substandard Housing is a multimedia video produced through a collaboration between Quincy Community Health Centers and the Colleges of Nursing and Communication at Washington State University. The goal of the video is to build awareness about the importance of healthy and affordable housing for low income, rural families. Available in English and Spanish, the video is appropriate for diverse audiences including the general public, organizations that serve rural or migrant farmworker families, public health officials and political leaders. It’s also a tool for teaching community assessment, social determinants of health, and community-based participatory research.
