Responsibilities:
Provide direct case management to a case load of transitional housing residents and/or their children. Provide direct service links to external resources necessary to establish safe and more permanent housing and support. Provide and coordinate counseling services to adults or children, in accordance with the mission and vision of the Agency. Also, will be on-call for resident emergencies every other week.
Requirements:
– A Bachelor’s Degree in social services or related field with some experience in direct service and/or advocacy is required; experience in a residential setting is strongly preferred.
– Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population is required.
– Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member is required.
– Demonstrated proficiency in communication, both verbal and in writing, is required.
– Demonstrated proficient computer skills, including MS Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc..)
– Some experience in working on domestic violence issues is strongly preferred.
– Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
– Demonstrated skill in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, group facilitation and counseling is strongly preferred.
– Completion of the 45-hour Domestic Training Class is required (pre or post hire)
Schedule: FT 40 hours per week, Monday & Wednesday 12pm -8pm and Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 9 – 5pm.
