Cultivating New Managers by Supervising Interns
Posted by on April 24, 2011
Please join us at the Philadelphia Youth Network’s next program, “Cultivating New Managers by Supervising Interns” on May 13th at the PYN Office.
The panel will discuss the importance of training new managers by providing hands on experience through supervising interns. Questions such as what does the company gain, what does the individual in training gain, how is a new manager cultivated through this experience? How were the “managers in training” selected to work with the interns? What are the benefits, what are the challenges, etc, will be addressed.
The discussion will also incorporate information about the importance of cultivating managers within your company. How does this affect company loyalty? Could this be considered a professional development experience? How does this opportunity positively influence all parties involved, etc.
