Job Description:

Media Mobilizing Project (MMP) is hiring a full-time bilingual Radio Coordinator to coordinate MMP audio and radio training, production and distribution and to lead an MMP Radio Network expansion.

The Radio Coordinator will be part of the MMP staff and will report to the Strategic Coordinator.

This position is based in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities:
• Build, strengthen and support the leadership of MMP radio members.
• Oversee all radio and audio projects happening within MMP, including Labor Justice Radio and Radio Unidad, with an eye toward network-building and leadership development in both production and distribution.
• Coordinate radio trainings and train others to do trainings.
• Build new radio programs as needed.
• Coordinate audio equipment, data management and production workflows.
• Manage relationships with radio stations and other distribution outlets.
• Expand MMP Radio Network broadcast area and listenership.
• Build relationships with other radio programs and organizing efforts across the country and globe.
• Deepen strategy to support MMP network and other organizing efforts for the interests poor and working people in the region.
• Develop and implement plan for building MMP sustainers through radio programs and listenership.
• Perform other responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications:
• Motivation, discipline, flexibility, discretion, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and sense of humor.
• Experience in teaching audio production.
• Experience in organizing.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English. Other languages a plus.
• Passionate about teaching, working with others, and building connections.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to problem-solve.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities and to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to take and give direction.
• Ability to attend night and weekend meetings and events.
• Desire to work in an environment that is diverse, fast-paced, and community-driven.
• Commitment to MMP’s mission.
