Forum on the Federal Housing Budget — Featuring Doug Rice

This forum will feature Doug Rice, senior policy analyst for the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities, who will discuss the President’s proposed housing budget, the Congressional response to it.

Mr. Rice’s work focuses on the impact of federal housing policy on low-income families.  Most recently, he was director of housing and community development policy at Catholic Charities USA, which represents one of the nation’s largest networks of housing and social service providers.  Before that he worked as a consultant and taught at the University of San Francisco.  Mr. Rice has a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a doctorate from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

In addition to a discussion on the federal housing budget, local leaders will discuss an advocacy agenda on the federal housing budget and how families and individuals who are experiencing homelessness can access permanent housing.
