Position Overview
Family Planning Council, a large, well-regarded not-for-profit human services agency in downtown Philadelphia, is seeking an experienced Sr. Training Associate. The position is responsible for identifying and responding to learning needs of project partners to the Council’s Evidence-Based Approaches to Teen Pregnancy Prevention and HIV Service Integration projects.
The successful candidate will be a team player who is highly organized, detail oriented, responsive to deadlines and customer service oriented. Primary job responsibilities include:
• Works with project team and partners to asses, develop and implement training and technical assistance plans.
• Coordinates needs assessment and training planning.
• Designs and delivers multiple training and education events for addressing evidence-based approaches to teen pregnancy prevention (TPP).Design and deliver HIV service integration related training events
• Works closely with the project manager, providing guidance and mentorship to TPP team in their approaches to selection, implementation, and evaluation.
• Researches, plans, organizes, conducts, and evaluates activities of training projects, training designs, and proposed programs.
• Works closely with project partners and other project staff to identify and respond to training and technical assistance needs.
• Works directly with TPP project manager and team to develop training plans and activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Masters Degree in Education, Health and Social Work or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum four years experience planning and delivering training activities and events that address evidence-based approaches to adolescent reproductive health.
• Expertise in evidence-based approaches to adolescent reproductive health and Getting to Outcomes (GTO) planning model.
• Ability to organize and monitor multiple activities.
• Ability to successfully communicate ideas clearly (verbally, in writing).
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in methods of instruction and evaluation appropriate to training adults; knowledge of training and curriculum design.
• Ability to travel, and familiarity with the city of Philadelphia.
