Food Integrity Conference: February 11, 2011!
Government Accountability Project’s Food Integrity Campaign is proud to announce a conference, Employee Rights and the Food Safety Modernization Act, to be cohosted with the American University Washington College of Law on February 11, 2011. The event will be held in Washington, D.C.
This all-day seminar will cover the newly signed food safety law which, among other monumental reforms, established the most comprehensive whistleblower protections for food industry workers.
GAP legal experts and other panelists representing labor, consumer protection, and industry insiders will come together to discuss worker protections and their impact on public health, the environment, and the American consumer. Speakers will address actions that workers can take in the face of retaliation for attempting to report food violations enforced by the FDA.
