Service-Learning and Economic Recovery Grants for Higher Eds
With funding made available from Learn and Serve America, PHENND will be awarding over $200,000 for the 2011-2012 academic year in subgrants to member institutions to support activities in three key areas: Nonprofit Capacity Building Student leadership Student internships
All three programs are designed to support a larger initiative that will mobilize college students to engage in service that connects people to needed services “along the Credit Path.” These services are food stamp enrollment, volunteer income tax assistance, financial education for youth and adults, and micro-entrpreneurship.
Each RFP has it’s own application. All proposals are due April 1, 2011. Requests for Proposals are available on the PHENND Website. Please note, there is a kick-off meeting for all grantees scheduled for May 5, 12-2 PM, place TBA.
