Health & Education Policy: Improving Student Outcomes

Join us for a webinar on Thursday, December 16th at 1pm (EST)

In an era of tight public budgets, it is crucial that federal resources be well aligned and coordinated. In the education arena, Congress is working towards reauthorizing the Elementary and Secondary Education Act during the 112th Congress, which convenes in January. Improving student health is a smart investment toward improving student achievement and graduation rates.

Join us as webinar presenters Martin Blank and Linda Juszczak discuss how community schools and school-based health centers are joining forces to improve outcomes for youth in many places across the country. They will shed light on current policies supporting this work and how these policies can be improved to provide sustained support, so that our students are graduating high school ready for college, career, and citizenship.

There will be plenty of time for discussion, so please come with questions!

Presenters:

• Martin J. Blank, President, Institute for Educational Leadership & Director of the Coalition for Community Schools

• Linda Juszczak, Executive Director, National Assembly on School-Based Health Care
