Esperanza seeks a candidate for the position of Training Coordinator for the Mentoring Program in our National Division. The Training Coordinator reports to the National Programs Vice President at Esperanza and is responsible for the program training design, implementation of training and support to site directors in eight cities across the United States. Essential duties and skills include:
• Collaboration with the VP of National Programs to develop training material for the project using various sources of material and best practice literature for mentoring programs for at risk Latino youth in various environments
• Coordination and execution of training sessions with site directors and staff
• Evaluation of direct training to site directors
• Management of training records for the project in collaboration with the Data Coordinator
• Interaction with site directors on training issues to determine appropriate training methods
• Travel to sites on regular basis to provide support and facilitate training

Additional Qualifications:
A. Demonstrates effective knowledge of methods and techniques in preparing training and information on mentoring program best practice and innovation.
B. Knowledge of principles and objectives of quality mentoring programs and non-profit organizations.
C. Commitment to developing effective and innovative mentoring programs.
