MLK Association seeks help with dinner for needy youth
The Philadelphia Martin Luther King, Jr. Association for Nonviolence will hold its 7th Annual Children’s Christmas Dinner Party for Disadvantaged Children on Sunday, December 19th.
At the event, the children are provided a festive dinner, a program encompassing the meaning and spirit of Christmas, toys, treats and special appearances from Disney, Sesame Street and Christmasland characters.
The Association is asking for help in putting on this year’s dinner from volunteers willing to host a food or toy drive, provide a financial donation, or volunteer on the day of the event.
The group plans to serve 2,000 children.
