Youth Power Summit builds movement for nonviolence
On Tuesday, November 9th, the Campaign for Nonviolent Schools will host the Youth Power Summit, bringing together 200 students from high schools across Philadelphia and the region for a day of free educational workshops and discussions, aimed at engaging students in building a movement for nonviolent schools.
Philadelphia public school students who attend will receive an excused absence from the School District.
The event will be held from 9am to 5pm in the Great Hall of the Winnet Building, Community College of Philadelphia, 17th and Spring Garden Streets. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
