Description:
The Job Developer is a Central Office, exempt position in the Workforce Development / School Support Services Division.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Formulate employment relationships within the business and nonprofit community.
• Prepare students and employees for internships and employment opportunities.
• Develop and structure work-readiness workshops, including service learning opportunities.
• Conduct workshops and presentations, including identifying and scheduling outside presenters
• Coordinate worksite monitoring and support for student placements.
• Conduct employer training and worksite safety assessements.
• Research industry trends, effective job search strategies, and best practice in work-readiness preparedness.
• Assist with student recruitment
• Complete all required reports
• Use data to make data driven decisions.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Experience working with adolescents and adults
• Extensive job placement experience
• Knowledge of the employment activities workready curriculum
• Excellent telephone skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Knowledge of community resources
• Familiarity with basic Mac and PC hardware and basic software applications

Additional Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
• Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• Three years documented job placement experience
