National Conference on Citizenship Announces 2010 Civic Health Index Partnerships
The National Conference on Citizenship announced their 2010 Civic Health Index Partnerships, the team who will compile the Civic Health Index. This report measures the civic health of the United States, individual states, and communities while educating and motivating citizens, business and nonprofit leaders, and policymakers to strengthen it. With the help of nonprofits, universities, foundations and businesses, 15 locations across the country are taking a critical step in educating and motivating citizens and institutions to develop policy, programs, and initiatives that address pressing social problems. The 13 states and two cities producing 2010 Civic Health Index reports are: Arizona, California, Chicago, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Seattle, Texas, and Virginia.
