Fellowship Farm 2010 Leadership Academy–Apply Today!
The Fellowship Farm 2010 Leadership Academy will take place from Sunday, August 8th to Saturday, August 14th. Applications are now available for participation in this year’s program.
“We’re looking for participants who are open to new experiences and want to learn and grow,” says Camp Director Nathan Swanson. “A kid who has that mindset has a lot of potential. Our program model is set up to produce the most fulfilling experience for that participant.”
Swanson maintains that Leadership Academy is the best program for those participants who are willing to try the best they can to rise to the challenge of learning to work effectively with others as they examine their own potential to become effective and positive leaders.
SPACE IS LIMITED! Contact us at execff@aol.com for an application packet. You can also call us at 610-326-3008 or FAX us at 610-970-6889. We welcome your questions.
“The Academy is experiential at its core, not just a schedule of activities to keep participants busy,” says Swanson. “Here, campers experience the thrill of leading their peers, overcoming challenges, and becoming the young leaders their parents, grandparents, and teachers know they can be.”
The experience is designed to be as diverse as possible by bringing young people together from all backgrounds, cultures, life experiences and geographic areas in the greater Philadelphia region and surrounding communities.
Participants will be immersed in a full range of leadership development information and experiences including:
* Team building activities
* Physical challenge ropes course work
* Learning about leadership examples–past and present
* Exploring leadership approaches with peers during the week
* Developing communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
* Identifying opportunities for leadership in schools and home communities
* Developing their own leadership profile
* Cultural arts activities
* Service work projects
* Opportunities to explore and understand diversity among peers.
>>> There is also free time for relaxation, fun, and friend making throughout the week.
