DVRPC seeks proposals on food policy
The Greater Philadelphia Food System Implementation Grant program, made possible with funding from the William Penn Foundation and administered by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, seeks to support innovative approaches that advance the overarching goals of the Food System Plan to create a more sustainable and resilient food system in the region.
The grant program will support requests that identify and address specific policy reforms required to reach at least one of the overarching goals of the food system plan; take advantage of recent policy reforms to bring to scale programs that have proven to be transformational; and demonstrate new approaches that significantly advance one of the goals of the food system plan.
Eligible projects must benefit Greater Philadelphia’s population, as defined by DVRPC’s nine-county service area (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties in Delaware; the City of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania; and Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Mercer counties in New Jersey).
Grants are intended to support the efforts of many different types of organizations, including community-based organizations, statewide or national advocacy groups, academic institutions, and private foundations.
Grants will be awarded in amounts up to a maximum of $150,000 each.
