Woman One Recognizes Leslie Anne Miller

Posted by on February 20, 2004

Dear Friend,

For all the right reasons, Leslie Anne Miller—one of Pennsylvania?s most prominent women leaders—will receive the 2004 ?WOMAN ONE? award in recognition of her exceptional exercise of conscience and commitment to improving the human experience.

? The ?WOMAN ONE? award is the highest honor presented annually by the Institute for Women?s Health and Leadership of Drexel University College of Medicine.
? Leslie Anne Miller, currently Chief Legal Counsel to Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, is an inspirational leader whose influence reaches the lives of women across generational lines. The esteem she has earned in the legal field, as the first woman President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association; in her leadership role at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts; in contributions to professional women, as President of the Pennsylvania Women?s Forum; in her personal battle with breast cancer; and as a former Trustee of MCP Hahnemann University—in all of these, she has consistently demonstrated the courage and charisma she brings to every endeavor.

With the belief that you may want to join in this salute to a remarkable woman, and that you may know others who would like to ?be there? for Leslie, you should know that the award ceremony takes place on Thursday, April 22, 2004 in the Ormandy Ballroom of Philadelphia?s Doubletree Hotel at 5:00 PM.

The presentation ceremony, reception and tax-deductible contribution to: (a) scholarship support for women in medicine, and (b) research advancement in women?s health—all of this is included in the $125-per-person ticket price.

To learn more about this prestigious event for this champion of women, please contact Lee Leming at womanone@drexel.edu or you may call 215-842-6077.
