Common Community Measures for Obesity Prevention Project and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) developed a slide presentation for local governments and communities based on the CDC’s Recommended Community Strategies and Measures. This tool is intended for local government staff who want to build the case for investing in obesity prevention at the community level. It provides the audience with an understanding of the prevalence, disease burden, and economic cost of the U.S. obesity epidemic and how local government is part of the solution.
