I am the volunteer coordinator for Work to Ride, and I am writing to ask for your help in supporting our organization. Based at Chamounix Equestrian Center in Philadelphia’s scenic Fairmount Park, Work to Ride uses horses to engage urban “at-risk” youth in wholesome activities. It has long been recognized that interaction with animals can play a positive role in instilling compassion and kindness, traits often identified as lacking in youths raised in “at risk” environments. You can check out the web site http://www.worktoride.net to learn more about this amazing program and to see pictures of some of the kids.

How can you help?

VOLUNTEER AND ATTEND POLO IN THE PARK FOR FREE
We are currently in need of volunteers for our annual fundraising event, Polo in the Park, scheduled for September 10th. We need help erecting the tents at 8 AM. We also need help with ticket-taking, parking, serving food, dismantling the tents, and clean up. In addition to the satisfaction of helping a worthy cause, volunteers will be able to attend the event for free and to enjoy a meal under the VIP tent. We can use 10 volunteers for a morning shift and others for mid-day and afternoon shifts.

If you are interested in volunteering or in purchasing tickets or a sponsorship, please email me or call. You can also print the attached flier and mail it to Chamounix Equestrian Center.

Thank you!
