Volunteers Needed: PCCY’s Games Day for Kids – Aug 5

Posted by Public Citizens for Children and Youth (PCCY) on July 20, 2021

We invite you to be part of an amazing and fun event that encourages creative and thought provoking play for kids. On Thursday, August 5, 2021, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, outside near the Please Touch Museum in Fairmount Park, PCCY will host a summer game day for kids with about 15 different fun activities like mini golf, giant checkers, bean bag toss, basketball and football toss, arts and crafts and many other fun things to do!

The event will also include a press conference at 2pm that will feature a very special announcement about how PCCY is preparing for the future of advocacy on behalf of children in our region!

We need about 100 volunteers to help with this event!  Can you spend sometime with us in the late morning or late afternoon helping with set up or break down?  Would you like to help run some of the fun kids games and help the kids along with the games? Can you stay all day and just pitch in wherever we may need you?  We make it easy for you to sign up and lend your time and talents!

Please pass this email along to your friends, family, colleagues, etc.! For more information contact Steven Fynes at 215-563-5848 x11 or stevenf@pccy.org.

PS: The event is taking place right next to one of the biggest outdoor swimming pools in the city. Bring a bathing suit or swin trunks and take a dip in the (free) pool after your volunteer shift is over!
