volunteers needed, Love Your Park Day

Posted by on March 27, 2011

Love Your Park is a unique partnership between the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, Philadelphia Parks and Rec and Greater Philadelphia Cares. On April 16th one hundred projects will take place at parks and other environmental organizations throughout the city, from the Northeast to South Philadelphia – and everywhere in between. This rain-or-shine event will provide cleaning and greening in our neighborhoods and education centers just in time for spring traffic.

A team can consist of any number of team members, from one to one hundred. Use your family name or organization name to sign up, or get creative and make up a funny name on the spot. GPC requires new volunteers to go through a brief orientation before participating in a project. Join us for a scheduled orientation or we can come to your group at your convenience. Please e-mail or call Terry Baxter to set up your orientation today at terry@gpcares.org or 215-564-4544.
