volunteers needed, evening study hours at Hopeworks

Posted by on September 10, 2010

Hopeworks ‘N Camden has created a safe, respectful, and celebratory atmosphere with structured learning where youth can and do succeed. But this atmosphere is often missing at home, where the environment is often unsafe and unstable. That is why we’ve opened the C.R.I.B.

The C.R.I.B. — the Community Responding In Belief — meets this challenge by providing a place where the atmosphere and security of Hopeworks extends into the living sphere.

The C.R.I.B. will have evening study hours beginning this Fall and we are looking for volunteers to join us!  As a volunteer you will just be a presence who will provide support when needed.  These study hours will be for C.R.I.B. youth and open to all youth.  We are excited about this new opportunity for youth to have set aside time for studying as a community; practicing academic success together.  Come join us!  Email Shawn Mack, Literacy Director, shawn_mack@hopeworks.org if you are interested.
