Weavers Way Farm holds volunteer event
On Saturday, May 2nd, Global Citizen, MLK 365 and Weavers Way are teaming up for a volunteer event on the Weavers Way Farm at the Awbury Arboretum. The farm serves as a model of local sustainable food production in an urban setting. Activities will include planting, bed forming, bed cultivation, mulching, clearing, pruning and weeding.
Volunteers should bring a sun hat, sunscreen, water bottles, snacks, lunch and something with which to cover up. Gardening gloves are also useful but Weaver’s Way will have a few pairs on site.
