Summary:
EducationWorks (EW), located in Lawrenceville, New Jersey is pleased to announce the availability of a one-year position beginning January 1, 2007. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in supporting students and urban education, while also gaining experience in non-profit capacity building and program expansion. (Lawrenceville is adjacent to Trenton and 30 minutes from downtown Philadelphia.)

Responsibilities:
Working with the EW Director of Development, the specific responsibilities include:
1. Conduct research on potential funders and prepare, at minimum, six grant proposals to foundations and corporations
2. Manage special fundraising events
3. Write articles for agency newsletter
4. Develop Young Friends of EW program
5. Initiate EW AmeriCorps Alumni program
6. Participate in EW Marketing program

Living Allowance and Benefits:
? Monthly living allowance, $894.00 (before taxes)
? Health care
? Child care, partial, if eligible
? Relocation allowance up to $500, if eligible
? Education award of $4,725 or cash stipend of $1,200 at the completion of service
? Student loan forbearance and one year accrued interest paid on loans

Qualifications:
A VISTA Coordinator must be 18 years of age, or older, a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident, and have at minimum, an Associates Degree. We are seeking individuals with excellent writing and outreach/public speaking skills, and who are highly organized. General knowledge of Word and Outlook is necessary.
